Tuakana Teina

On Tuesday the 13th of June was Tuakana Teina. The whole school participated. The houses were divided into certain groups so young and old could work together, for instance I was in Mokena 3. There was a range of different sports including tunnel ball, under and over, duck duck goose, two ball soccer and much more. We had a great time working in our groups and it was great that some students were leading the activities.

Sadly before we could rotate the 3rd time, we had to go in because it started raining. The purpose of tuakana teina is to learn how to become a leader or a role model different skills to younger students or older people.
