Today, Stanley Ave launched it’s first ever gaming expo.
For the past 7 weeks, Ruru syndicate has been planning, designing and constructing board and card games. To do this, the senior students used the Technology component of the New Zealand curriculum to understand the process actual designers and manufacturers use when producing a product.
In order to provide the students with a purpose for their work, as well as an actual real-life audience, Tui syndicate were invited to come and test out our games, essentially becoming stakeholders. So, for an hour, the school rec-centre was transformed into a mini game convention. Games were played and feedback was given. Overall, it was a huge success.
